Which machines do you use for your audio captures?

Our turntables and cassette decks are Teac, our reel to reel machines are Akai and our mini disc players are Sony

I’m not sure what’s on my tapes as I do not own a player. Can you help?

You might have a bunch of tapes that contain recordings of value, but some might just contain radio programmes. We can run through them then email a description for you to view before giving us the go ahead.

I have a video of my family singing on a vhs tape. Is it possible to have a cd of just the audio?

Music from any source can be recorded to audio cd or mp3 file.

We’ve found some dictaphone tapes, can these be transferred?

There are many different types of dictaphone tapes. We can only convert Sony and Philips formats.

Do you copy audio cassette tapes?

As long as you hold the copyright of these tapes we are happy to transfer them onto Audio CD or MP3 files

My audio tape has quite a lot of background hiss, can this be corrected

All our audio captures go straight into Magix sound lab recording software. Here we can reduce background hiss, alter EQ and generally improve the recording before converting to WAV or MP3. A few years ago one of our tape transfers was used in an edition of Radio 4 Desert island disc

Our band have produced a cd of music. Can you produce multiple copies with a design printing on the front?

We offer great value copies of CD and DVD which can have a logo or track listings on to suit your needs. You must however own the copyright of these recordings
